"Ow ow ouch!"

"Don't be such a baby; you're supposed to be the best soldier from now on, so man up!"

Stroheim could never forget the day you became a part of his life. After the incident in Mexico and being brought back to Germany, he felt like there was a reason for him to live. He certainly saw nothing wrong with giving his life for Germany back then, but apparently his life was not ready to be taken.

When he heard he was going to be made into the ultimate weapon, things changed drastically, especially himself. He became colder and more attentive, knowing he would be more machine than man. He didn't mind, he would have to learn to live like a machine. At first it was easy, until they called in one of their best mechanics to do the final details: you.

You had worked on military equipment, but not to the extent of creating a tank or WMD; no, you worked on small weaponry and electrical systems. It was your specialty to see the small details and enhance them, like control systems and handguns.

After having all of the main parts placed on his body, it was your duty to put on the finishing touches.

The first major project after doing the basic hookup was his eye. It was a difficult task because the man was terrified to have someone else touching his face, especially when you were trying to install an ultraviolet laser.

"You're worse than a little girl!"

It didn't take you long to finish wiring his system either, making sure all of his components worked properly.

"Most of these will be controlled by your brain, as if they were your own limbs, but there are a few things that require you to manually flip switches or adjust knobs once in a while."

"Ha! German science really is the best!"

"By the way, I wired your penis in case you get frisky with your car again. There's a switch on your tailbone for auto-erect."

"EH?!"

You were so unique to him. He treasured the way you made him laugh, the way he was able to savor your company and regret it at the time, the way you made him worry about leaving this world and leaving you behind with it.

"Did you try to hump a sawmill saw or something?"

"No! I fought a great and powerful being, the worst of the Pillar Men: Kars."

After the first battle with Kars, Stroheim had battled the immortal being and saw a great chance of victory; however, the German's efforts seemed to do little to stop him. Although Stroheim was able to help keep Kars from the Red Stone of Aja, it resulted in his halving. He returned as only the top half of what you had sent out; compared to what was left, you weren't given much to work with.

"Seriously, Stroheim?"

You had repaired him with minor complaints. Well, for you they were minor. He told you that the ultraviolet beam had worked and that the bullets had not. You were disappointed because, personally, you were impressed with the gun.

With the help and ingenuity of the Speedwagon Foundation, you were given a new task to install ultraviolet lights on his shoulders. They were already built, so you were there to polish things up a bit.

Stroheim couldn't help but admire your determination to build and fix. You may not have shown it outright, but anyone could tell that you had a passion for what you did by the gentle smile on your face when you worked. Or the evil grin.

When he was sent away again to fight Kars for the second time, he had plenty of backup. You spurred him on with confidence in your meticulous work; that confidence radiated to Stroheim in a heartbeat.

"Go kick his sorry ass! But if you come back in pieces, so help me I will reassemble you as a lamp."

When Stroheim returned from battle, once again missing his entire lower half and hands, he couldn't help but grin at your frustrated expression. Actually, utterly seething was still an understatement.

"Are you kidding me!? That's it, I'm mounting you to a wall so you can't leave anymore, that way I can think of something else to turn you into."

"What happened to turning me into a lamp?"

"That would be too generous."

Despite his metal body, you made him feel human again.
